John was born before May 2, 1703 in New York, New York. The son of Abraham Wendell Catherina de Key [1]

He was baptized May 2, 1703 in The Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of New York.. [1]

He married Elizabeth Quincy December 10, 1724 by whom he had issue of fifteen children. [1]
