Ebenezer Wentworth was born on August 1, 1714 in Province of New Hampshire, son of John Wentworth (1671–1730) and Sarah Hunking (~1673–1741).
Ebenezer was a merchant at Portsmouth. He was educated a physician, but in his Will called himself "shopkeeper".
He married, on 4 December 1746, Mary Mendum, daughter of Nathaniel and Frances (Lyde) Mendum, born 18 June 1723. (This Nathaniel Mendum was born 2 April 1690; married, in January 1712, Frances Lloyd, who was born 28 September 1690; he died 30 August 1771). Mrs. Wentworth died 13 June 1755, aged 32.
Their only child was Rebecca who married her cousin George, son of Daniel Wentworth.[1]
Ebenezer died in Portsmouth, Rockingham, New Hampshire on 3 February 1757.
