John Wentworth was born on 6 April 1791 in Limington, Maine. His parents were William Wentworth and Judith (Knight) Wentworth. He had a twin brother named Samuel[1].
He married Martha Jackson on 20 October 1814 in Limington, Maine[2]. They had eight children[3]:
1. Thomas, born 9 Dec 1811
2. John, born 2 Jul 1815
3. Daniel, born 15 Feb 1817
4. Solomon, born 26 Mar 1819
5. Martha, born 14 Jul 1824; married Daniel Thorn
6. Betsey, born 11 May 1827
7. Oren, born 3 Nov 1828
8. Joseph, born 19 Sep 1832
John passed away on 10 March 1856[4] in Baldwin, Maine[5].
