Biography

According to The History of Parliament: the House of Commons 1558-1603, John Wentworth was born in 1564. The Millennium File says that his birthplace was Gosfield, Essex. He married Cirtly (Cecilia) Unton at St Dunstan and All Saints, Stepney, Tower Hamlets, Middlesex, on 9 March 1580. Their daughter Anne Wentworth was baptised at Gosfield in 1590. John Wentworth died on 10 Feb 1613, and he was buried at St Katharine Churchyard, Gosfield.
