Biography

Arthur Andrews Wentz, son of John Thomas Wentz and Ann Amanda, was born October 8, 1846 in Chester County, Pennsylvania and died July 17, 1922 at Lake Charles, Louisiana.^[1] He is buried at Orange Grove Cemetery, Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. ^[2]

Based on the 1850 and 1860 Census, it appears that Arthur spent his first 20 years living with his maternal grandparents after his parents died in 1848.

He married Clarissa Pardy Blackman in 1868.^[3]

Arthur and Clarissa became the parents of: John Thomas ^[4], Mary Louise ^[5], Lois, Clifford Charles ^[6] and Helen ^[7].
