Family #166 in the 1775 Grimm census.
Family #26 in the 1798 Grimm census.
Family #256 in the 1834 Grimm census.
He was married first to Anna Katharina, who was 10 years older than him. There are no children listed in their family in the 1775 census. He was 36 and she was 46. He was probably too young to have grown children with her, but she may have had grown children from a prior marriage who were already married and not living with her anymore.
After her death, he married Elisabeth Rant, 25 years his junior. She is the mother of all the children listed in the 1798 census. Her oldest child was 15 years old, which means she married Michael Werner around 1780. This means his first wife Anna Katharina passed away at some point prior to that.
He is not specifically listed in the 1834 census, but his wife is listed as the head of the household, living with her son Michael, his wife, and their children. Usually a man's year of death is noted in the census, but this is one exception. He most likely passed away within a few years of the 1798 census and had been dead for so long that his death wasn't mentioned to the census taker. The Michael Werner listed in the 1834 census was his son.
