Biography

Francis Werner was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Francis Henry Werner was born about 1862, his birth registered that year in Tambaroora, New South Wales, the son of Francis H. and Catherine Werner. ^[1]

Marriage. In 1886, Francis married Ann Elizabeth Horner, their marriage registered St Leonards, New South Wales. ^[2]

Death. Francis died 13th September, 1895, aged only 33 years. ^[3]

WERNER.—September 13, at No. 4 Elizabeth-street, off Mount-street, North Sydney, Francis H. Werner, the beloved and only son of Francis H. and Catherine Werner, late of Tambaroora, also beloved and only brother of Mrs. A. Berger, of Sutherland, also beloved and only brother of Mrs. H. Malton, of North Sydney, also beloved and only brother of Mrs. A. Berger, of Canterbury, leaving a loving wife and five little ones to mourn their great loss, aged 33 years. Rest in peace. ^[4]

Burial. Francis Werner is interred at Gore Hill Cemetery, St Leonards, North Sydney. It was 1933 before his widow joined him, aged 73. Their headstone reads; ^[7]
