Biography

Laurence was born in Leicester on 9 March 1886, son of James Wesley. His mother died when he was a child. His actual date of birth is stated on his listing in the England & Wales register of 1939. It also appears on the record of his induction into the RAF in 1916, but the date given there is 8 March.

He married Lily Brook in Leicester during the 1st Qtr of 1915^[1].
