Sometimes referred to as Samuel Wesley, the younger. Like his father, the younger Samuel Wesley was a Church of England cleric.
He was the elder brother to John and Charles Wesley, who perhaps are more widely remembered because of their leadership and influence in the movement that eventually led to the formation of the Methodist Church.
