Biography

Hendrickje Wessels birth date is uncertain, possibly as early as 1644. She married twice as seen in the church records below. She was mother of several children by her first husband.

Her second husband Jacobus Kip wrote a lengthy and complex will dated 19 Sep 1702 Jamaica, Queens NY and referred to his wife's "hars" as Samuel Ver Planck the "har" of deceased ....and Jacobus VerPlanck. Notes from this will has been read from the longhand original and some words are difficult to read however with study more details can be learned. Wessels-591 and Wessels-11 appear to represent the same person because: Believe these are same woman. The ancestry tree referenced on -591 is impossible to access now. I did a lot of updates to 591 which do belong to -11. I read the will of Jacobus Kip and made notes left on 591. The names in his will match those in -11.
