If this is AELLA , from wikipedia " Ælla (or Ælle) (died 21 March 867) was king of Northumbria in the middle of the 9th century. Sources on Northumbrian history in this period are limited. Ælla's descent is not known and the dating of his reign is problematic. He is a major character in the saga Ragnarssona þáttr (The Tale of Ragnar's sons)."

Northumbria-86 and Wessex-249 do not represent the same person because: Aella of Northumberland is a historic figure - Wessex-249 needs work

Northumbria-86 and Wessex-249 appear to represent the same person because: Northumbria-86 is a sourced profile - if Wessex-249 is supposed to be the same person, then a merge is required.

Aella of Northumbria has a new profile because needed because of historic links with Scandinavian profiles - suggest this profile be taken back to that originally intended for "Eahlund of Wessex"

I do not think this is Aella of Wessex, but have added a link to the campaign noted in bio. Wessex and Northumbria were distinct kingdoms in this period.

This MAY be Aella, King of Northumbria. Trying to find his family group in WikiTree.
