John West, son of Nathan Adams and Mary Jane (Peebler) West, was born in 1850 in Jefferson County, Iowa.
He appeared on the census of 22 Sep. 1860 in the home of his parents at Sangamon County, Illinois.[1] He appeared on the census of 1 Aug. 1870 in the home of his parents at Sublimity, Marion County, Oregon.[2]
He married Emily Jane Burris, daughter of Daniel and Cynthia Ann (Harding) Burris, on 5 Aug. 1877 at Salt Creek,Polk County, Oregon.[3][4]
John died sometime after about 1881. His daughter Myrtle was born in Sep. 1881.
