Elizabeth (West) Mudge migrated from Canada to United States.
Elizabeth was born on 26 Apr 1859 in Ontario, Canada.[1] She was the daughter of John West (born in Yorkshire, England) and Isabella Holmes (born in Scotland).
The family moved to the United States of America around 1863 (when Elizabeth's youngest sister was born in Michigan). At the time of the 1870 census, she lived with her parents in the Township of Wales, St Clair, Michigan, United States.[2]
Elizabeth married Franklin Mudge around 1880.[citation needed] Franklin and Elizabeth lived with Franklin's mother, Abigail, in Wales in 1880. The couple's children were:[3]
Myrtle Estella Mudge
Emmerson Mudge
Alger F Mudge
Alphins Mudge
Hector I Mudge
Franklin Loyde Mudge
Alfred Guy Mudge.
In 1900 the family lived in Wales, where Franklin was a farmer.[1] He died in 1902 at the age of 42 and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Wales.[4] In 1910 Elizabeth lived in Wales with her sons, Guy [Alfred], Hector and Alger.[5]
Elizabeth died on 26 November 1917 in Wales and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.[6]
