Biography
Gilbert was born in 1703. He was the son of Richard West and Maria Temple.
He married Catherine Bartlett.
He passed away in 1756.
In his Will, dated 14 May 1755, Gilbert West of West Wickham, Kent, requested to be buried at West Wickham in the same grave as his son. He mentioned his sister Mary West, brother Temple West Esq. Rear Admiral of the Red and his wife. Proved 2 Apr 1756[1]
