Biography

When Elizabeth Mary West was born on January 3, 1840, in Claiborne, Tennessee, her father, Isaac, was 26, and her mother, Artimissa, was 16. She married George Marion Johnson in 1858. They had ten children in 22 years. She died on March 26, 1911, at the age of 71, and was buried in Whitley, Kentucky.
