Edward married Lucretia Ffolkes on 26 August 1822.

Edward West, Esquire, Recorder of Bombay, was Knighted on 5 July 1822^[2].

Edward died in Poona, Maharashtra on 18 August 1828, and was buried at All Saints Church, Kirkee.^[3]
