While there was a marriage in Dorchester County of a Sarah West to a James Bright, the pension record for James Bright gives a later marriage date then states that the wedding party was at the home of James Busick, who census records indicate his wife was Sarah, and his children were James and Sarah, with Sarah Busick being the correct age.
Sarah's maiden name was Busick, not the Sarah West that has been commonly tagged. DNA testing has links to the Busicks.
