The following two items were published July 17, 1908 in The Central Record newspaper of Lancaster, Kentucky about Mrs. Jackman:[1]
" Mrs Mary Bretney, of Lebanon attended the burial of her mother, Mrs Louisa Jackman. She was accompanied by her daughter, Miss Lucille, and son, Mr H C Bretney, of Louisville. They were guests of Mr John K West and family."
" On July 7th, the remains of Mrs Louisa West Jackman were brought to Lancaster, from LeRoy, Illinois, for burial. Mrs Jackman was a resident of our town for a number of years, and will be remembered by the older citizens as a woman of great intelligence and strong christian character. Appropriate services were conducted at the grave by Eld F M Tinder, and her body was laid to rest with that of her husband and the children who had preceded her."
