Gladys Arlene Goff, 80, of Burlington, formerly of Stronghurst, Ill., died at 1:10 a.m. Monday, April 13, 1998, at Burlington Medical Center. Born July 31, 1917, in Pleasant Plain, she was the daughter of Joseph and Stella Mae Black West. On Nov. 20, 1935, she married Harold Norton. He died Aug. 20, 1956. She then married Furman "Red" Thomas Goff on June 10, 1957, in Hernando, Miss. He died March 25, 1989. [1]
Gladys A. Goff The funeral service for Mrs. Gladys A. Goff, 80, who died Monday, April 13, 1998, will be held today at 1:30 P.M. in Lunning Chapel. Reverend David Rogula will officiate. Interment will be in Burlington Memorial Cemetery. A memorial to the Arthritis Foundation has been established. A dinner will be held immediately following the service at the First United Methodist Church of Burlington, Iowa. [2]
