4 Apr 1730. Gregory of King Wm. Co. to John White of same county. 85 curr., 1000 a. in St. Geo. Par., Spts. Co.-granted the sd. Gregory by pat. June 16, 1727. April 7, 1730. Agnes, wife of Richd. Gregory, acknowledged her dower, etc.^[4]

Research Notes

Agnes is wrongly identified as Anne in Southside Virginia Families. It is doubtful that "Anne" West ever existed.^[1]

Notables

Agnes was the 4th great granddaughter of Lady Mary Boleyn, one of the mistresses of King Henry VIII. It has been rumored that Mary Boleyn bore two of the king's children.

Lady Mary Boleyn, was the sister of Anne Boleyn, Queen of England, the second of the six wives of Henry VIII King of England. Their daughter was Queen Elizabeth I of England. Anne Boleyn was beheaded at the Tower of London.

Thus, Lady Mary Boleyn was also the aunt of Queen Elizabeth I of England.
