Mary was born Mary Westacott (looks like a misspelling) and was born in Aug 1801. Her parents are listed as John Westacott and Mary nee Gregory [1].
Mary Westcott marries Robert Vicary in Devon, England before 1932 and they have 3 children: 2 sons and 1 daughter.
Robert appears in the 1851 Census as Robert Vicary aged 47 years born Chumleigh, Devonshire, married and works at Farmer At 139 Acres 1 Lab: his wife Mary Vicary aged 50 years born in Chumleigh, Devonshire; their 3 children Francis (18), Elizabeth (17) and John (14). There also shows a brother-in-law Richard Stevens (60) also born in Chumleigh, Devonshire [2].
In the 1841 census, Robert Vicary is shown as head of house with his wife Mary (35-39) nee Westacott, Francis (9), Elizabeth (7), John (4) and it appears another relative Susan Westacott (20-24) [3].
Robert and their two sons Francis and John alongwith John's wife Elizabeth travelled to New Zealand on the Barque Empress arriving in Auckland in Mar 1868. There is no mention of Mary Vickery or Vicary coming with them.
She passed away before 1868 as she doesn't travel with them to New Zealand (approximate date only).
