William Westley
William Westley was an early member of the first church of Hartford. Considered a Founder of Hartford, he was granted a lot by "courtesie of the town." (c.1638-1639)[1]
The William Westley lot is #135 in the upper left corner of the map.
He was freed from training etc. in 1646.[1][2][3] The record does not mention why, but it is usually due to age or infirmity.
His land was called Widow Westles in 1650.[1] No children are associated with him.
Mrs. Anna Westley
Widow Westles land was mentioned during the 1650 distribution of Hartford.[1]
A widow Westley was given assistance by the town of Hadley, because she had been part of their group before leaving Hartford.[1]
Anna Westley sold to John Bigelow her home lot (deed recorded 30 May 1669), and widow Watts bought of Ann Westley 7 acres on the east side of the river, Jan 7 1664.[1]
