Roland Weston is an Anzac who served in World War One.
Roland Weston was born in 1896 at Hastwell, Carterton, New Zealand. He is the son of Thomas Weston and Louisa Tourelle. [1]
Roland Weston enlisted on 27 June 1917 and served with the New Zealand Army during World War 1. He embarked for overseas 13 October 1917 and he served in France and was wounded in action on 13 April 1918. He embarked for New Zealand on 17 June 1919 and returned to New Zealand on 24 July 1919. He was discharged from service on 20 August 1919. [2]
Roland Weston emigrated from New Zealand to Australia.
Note: On 15 April 1954 the R.S.L. at Dee Why, New South Wales, Australia sent a letter to the Officer in Charge, Army Records, Wellington, New Zealand, requesting information about Roland's service. The letter was sent because Roland had applied to join the Dee Why branch of the R.S.L. [3]
