He first married Alice Hollybush.[1] She died in 1771 after having three children: John, Charles, and Anne.
He married, secondly, Mariane Mazyck in 1775.[2] They had two sons: Paul and Francis Marion.
Anthony (Toney) Weston, Plowden's son by an enslaved woman, was a noted millwright, and Plowden allowed him to keep money that he earned and live as if he were free, though laws forbade the freeing of slaves after 1820.
Weston was a member of the South Carolina General Assembly representing Christ Church Parish for four terms of office. (need source)

Death
Plowden Weston passed away in 1827[4][5][6] and is buried in the French Protestant Huguenot Church Cemetery in Charleston, South Carolina.[7]
