Biography

Edmund was born about 1822. He was the son of John Weston and Olive Hewitt. Married in 1846. [1] .1850 census record.[2] He passed away after 1860.

Land known as Granbay Tract on north side of Norflets Mill Pond, previously bought by Elisha Futrell 62.5 acres. Sept Court 1852. (Possible land of wife's family) A few months later 21 Dec 1852, Deed Bk 35, p 41. John Vann sold to Margaret Weston $60-- 62.5 acres . Same tract of land. Deed Record 21 Dec 1852 • Northampton Co, NC, Bk 35, p42. Margaret Weston to Mary Elizabeth Weston, William Weston & Louvinia Weston children of my brother Edmond Weston 62+A Granbury tract north side of Norflils Mill Pond

It appears from deed records that Edmond was not a good father and husband and his sister Margaret did what she could to provide and protect his children.

NOT SURE OF RECORD BUT SEEMS LIKELY.1860 Census, Richmond Ward 3, Henrico, Virginia Edmund Wesson, age 42, B yr 1818. In prison for larceny. Occupation shoemaker. Josephus Weston was also a shoemaker.
