Biography

Maria was born on September 30, 1874 in Malmö Caroli parish, Skåne, Sweden. She was born out of wedlock to an unknown mother. Her mother is unknown. All that is noted in the birth record is that she was 35 years old (born ca 1839) and that Maria was her second child.^[1]

Maria was the foster daughter of master builder Per Hansson Wetterlin and Botilla Hansdotter and the foster sister of Sofia (Ringbom) Wetterlin. Maria used the last name Wetterlin. Her last name at birth is unknown. ^[2]

On 7 Jun 1909 Maria was registered as suffering from mental illness.^[3]

She is buried with her foster family in St Pauli norra kyrkogård. She never married.
