  • “Waupaca – Albert [Adolph] Reek, 75, of Rt. 1Waupaca, died Sunday [3 June 1962] at his home, following a heart attack. He was born in the Town of Wolf River on April 5, 1887, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Reed, [misspelled should be Reek] and resided there until moving to the Town of Farmington six years ago. He was married in Town of Birnamwood to Miss Lydia Wetzel on Dec. 23, 1909. Surviving are his wife, Lydia; Three sons: Alvin and Marlin Reek of Milwaukee, and Earl Reek of Bear Creek; Four Daughters: Mrs. Walter Kripinski and Mrs Elmer Lorenz both of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Everett Wohlrabe of Manawa, and Mrs. LeRoy Trumpy of Orangeville, Illinois; one brother, Richard Reek of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Fietzer and Mrs. Louis Ferg of Manawa; 27 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Weyauwega; the Rev. DeLloyd Huenink officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Before moving to this area, she lived in Milwaukee and took care of 21 foster babies between 1966 and 1969. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Lydia Reek of Weyauwega; three daughters: Mrs. Jerry (Lydia) Ferg of Manawa; Barbara and Kathryn both at home; three sons; Carlos Nava of Mukwonago; Duane Lorenz, at home; Albert Lorenz of United States Army, stationed in Germany; two brothers: Alvin Reek of Mountain; Earl Reek of Bear Creek; three sisters: Mrs. Ray (Eleanor) Stephens of Milwaukee; Mrs. Everett (Doris) Wohlrabe of Manawa, Mrs LeRoy (Redona) Trumpy, of Waupaca; three grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, Weyauwega, with the Rev. David E. Sharpe officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery, Weyauwega.   • “Wis. Rapids – Elnora B. Stephens, 78, of 1200 Huntington St., died Saturday June 18, 1994, at Riverview Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Taylor Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be in Wood National Cemetery, Wood County, Wisconsin. There will be no services at the cemetery. Mrs. Stephens was born March 11, 1916, in Birnamwood, to Albert and Lydia (Wetzel) Reek. She married Raymond Stephens on Nov. 9, 1967 in Milwaukee. He died in 1982. She lived in Milwaukee until 1992, when she moved to Wisconsin Rapids. She was employed as a waitress most of her life, and also was a volunteer worker at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Milwaukee. Survivors include Three Sons: Jerry Tatro of Milwaukee; Jim (Donna) Tatro of Appleton, and David (Helen) Blaha of Jackson; Two daughters: Shirley Ann Tatro (Kenneth) Clark of Wisconsin Rapids, and Darlene (Stanley) Brunch of Fort Atkinson; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; Two Sisters: Doris Gladys (Everett) Wohlrabe of Waupaca, and Redona (Gordon) Stinstrup of Suring; and one Brother: Alvin who lives in Arizona. She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, one sister and one great-granddaughter.
