Biography

I am the daughter of Richard Austin Weymer and his first wife. Born under the Texas stars in the heat of summer on my 1st cousins second birthday.

I come from a long line of brave men and strong women who loved them.

I have documentation to prove I am related to John Berry (Sr) of Texas, and through this line, Audie Leon Murphy, the most decorated WWII hero, movie star and author. I am also related to many patriots, too many to mention them all, but the following list is but a portion of my direct grandfathers who were patriots.

Etheldred Harris, Ebenezer Hearne, Samuel W Sherrill, Capt. William Donnell, Cornelius Devore, Enoch Berry, Capt. William Berry, Joseph Berry, Col. Robert Munford of Prince George Co., VA., George Hartman, William York, Henry York, John Allred, Samuel Nelms, Major Addison Scarborough, John Dent, Thomas Goolsby, John Ellis, William Crowson, David Lindsey, Lieutenant Isaac McHenry, John Mahan, David Lindsey, Pvt. John P Hamlin, Maj. Patrick Watson, Pryor Lee Wheeler, James D Elliot,

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with K by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with K:

I am not sure what year they married either. I do know my great uncles used to talk about their mom & dad, telling stories, they were my grandma's brothers, so I was lucky in that sense. We have lots of relatives in Common because my grandma Emma was a Crowson. I am guessing we might also be related at some point via John P. Hamlin. Did you know that DAR has marked Crowson home in AL?

Hi K! I noticed that we have some people in common and checked to see if we're related . . . K and Janet are fifth cousins.

K (Weymer) Anonymous and Janet (Spivey) Clifton are both descendants of John Ellis (Ellis-14103). It's always nice to find a cousin. Wishing you all the best, Janet

Hi K,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified! Based on your pre-1700 ancestors, it looks like you’re going to be working on profiles that fall under several Projects. I'm here to help you find one that best fits your needs.

Start by thinking about the particular time periods, locations, and topics in which you're interested. Do you have some historically-significant ancestors? Take a look at the list of active projects for examples of what we have going on.

If you see one that's just right, go ahead and join. Otherwise, let me know what you're looking for and I'll see what I can find.
