Biography

Stephen was born 29 May 1872 in Key West, Florida.[1] He was the son of Joseph Charles Whalton Jr. and Susan Bell Barker.

He married Mary Lorena Bethel on 21 February 1898 in Key West in a ceremony performed by Gilbert Higgs, Rector of St. Paul's Parish.[2]

Stephen died in March 1965 in Key West,[3] and he is buried there in the City Cemetery.[4]
