The Advertiser (Adelaide, SA : 1889 - 1931), Tue 28 Mar 1905, Page 4
HILL-WHEARE.-On the 23rd February, at the residence of the bride's parents, by the Rev. C. E. Williams, James, eldest son of the late James Hill, Ardrossan, to Rose Heyward, eldest daughter of W. G. F. Wheare, "Cliffside," Black Point.
Rose was unable to care for her children in the last years of her life, and there are indications that she was an invalid from the time of her son Walter's birth in 1911. All four of her children were cared for by other Wheare relatives. She died of an unspecified painful illness aged 34 on 6 April 1914 in hospital in Semaphore, South Australia. [2]
