Obituary
Mrs. Mary Jane Marsland, 85, an old Moonta identity, died suddenly at Mile End on March 16, where she had been residing with her daughter (Mrs. V. Williams). She was born at Kapunda, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wheare. She married Mr. George Marsland in 1868, and went to Moonta in November, 1872. With the exception of three years, the whole of the intervening period was spent in the Moonta district. Her husband died in November, 1919. The family consisted of 11 children, the surviving members being three sons (Messrs. Herbert, City; Ernest, Kilkenny; Arnold, Moonta), and five daughters (Mesdames W. Mellow, T. Trewartha, and V. Williams, Mile End; W. Brown, Urania; and B. P. Parks, Colonel Light Gardens). There are 43 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. There are also four sisters, viz.,Mesdames G. F. Taylor. Balmain, Sydney; J. Harrison, Oatley, NSW; J. O'Connor, Newtown, NSW; and T. Jeffs, Kapunda,
