Biography

Samuel was born before 1761, the son of Salmon and his second wife, Abigail (White) Wheat.

Samuel Wheat married Isabella Clark, daughter of John Clark of Fairhaven, VT. He removed from Shaftsbury, VT to Hampton, NY, where their 11 children were born - 10 girls and 1 boy: Anna, Isabel, Aurora, Mary, Hannah, Lydia, Salmon, Unknown daughter, a second Unknown daughter, Sophia and Keziah Wheat.

He passed away in 1812 and is buried at Hampton Hill Cemetery, Hampton, Washington, NY.
