Sir George Wheate married[5]Avis Acworth, the youngest child of Sir Jacob Acworth on 3 May 1742 at St Olave, Hart Street, London.
They had five children together: George (born 1744), Jacob (born 1744), Esther Henrietta (born 1745), Avice (born 1748) and John Thomas (born 1749).
Sir George Wheate was of the Inner Temple and a Barrister at Law - as recorded by the Banbury records in Oxfordshire.
George and Avice inherited Blackmore Priory through Avice's father Sir Jacob Acworth when he died on 16 March 1748.
Sir George Wheate died on 5 June 1751 at Glympton Park, Oxfordshire, England.
