Matthew Wheatley Jr., born in 1802, was the son of Matthew Wheatley, a Newcastle Upon Tyne ironmonger, and his wife Martha Marshall.[1] In 1832 he worked as an ironmonger with his father.[2] In 1851, he was unmarried and worked as an iron merchant and land agent.[3]
