Bridget Wheeler was born 20 Oct 1761 to Jeremiah Wheeler and Anna (Pellet) Wheeler in Stonington.[1][2][3] She was the sixth, and probably the final child of that union, the second marriage for both.
As stated in the important note at the top of this profile, this is not the Bridget Wheeler that married Robert Wheeler as listed in The Genealogical and Encyclopedic History of the Wheeler Family in America (pg 309) or History of the Town of Stonington, County of New London, Connecticut, from its first settlement in 1649 to 1900 (pg 641)
Bridget Wheeler died 24 Mar 1777 and is buried at Paul Wheeler Cemetery #40. The age of Bridget at the time of her death was 15 (fifteen){she had not reached her 16th birthday at the time of her death}, and as the pattern of the time, typically around the age of 20, was the norm of that time period, it is not likely that she was wed to anyone before she died. Therefore, she is not the Bridget Wheeler that married Robert Wheeler.[4]
