Biography

Bill was born in 1902,[1] the son of Henry Wheeler and Minnie Orchard.

They moved to Canada in 1904[2][3][4] and his father was granted land In the area of Settler, Alberta.[5][2] They later lived in nearby Gadsby, Alberta; his father was a farmer and blacksmith.[6][3]

After the death of his mother, his father married Helen. Their family continued to live in Gadsby.[7]

In 1926, William (age 23) was living in the home of George B Hoover in Camrose County, Alberta.[8] In 1931, Bill was a lodger living in Medicine Hat, Alberta and working as a blacksmith.[4]

He married Florence.[1]

He passed away in 1976 and was buried in the Scandia Cemetery in Scandia, Alberta.[1]
