Birth

Phineas was born on 24 Apr 1784, to Lester Wheeler and Eunice (Bailey) Wheeler in Stonington.[1][2]

Marriage

Phineas married Wealthy Maxson on 24 Feb 1810, in Stonington.[1][2][3]

Children

Phineas M. Wheeler; b. 15 Jul 1817[1][2][3][3]

Military Service

  • Per "History of Stonington" he was a Lieutenant in 2nd Captain Daniel Miner's Company, 13th Regiment, 7th Company. Marched to Stonington Borough to defend the town of Stonington, when attacked by the British Fleet on 9-10 Aug 1814.[4]
  • Per his designation in Jonathan Wheeler Cemetery #24:
He was a Captain in Captain Daniel Miner's Company.[3]

Death

Phineas died on 15 Aug 1831, and is buried in Jonathan Wheeler Cemetery, as is his wife, in Stonington.[1][2][5][6]
