Biography

Elizabeth was the second known child of Thomas Wheeler (Wheeler-256) and Mary Beckley and was baptized 7 Jan 1637/38 in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

Birth

Birth date is not known exactly but is estimated as December 1637 given her baptism. She could have been born several months earlier.

Death

Apparently no actual death/burial records have been found. The primary source seems to be the 1914 "Genealogical and Encyclopedic" Wheeler family history by A.G. Wheeler who provides this date with no sourcing of his own.

Editing Elizabeth Wheeler to reflect the 1998 publications of Raymond David Wheeler and Gordon Boyce Wheeler. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas and his first wife, Mary Beckley and she was born/baptized in Cranfield, Beds. "Witter Genealogy" and some other sources had incorrect birth date for Elizabeth.

Wheeler-6877 and Wheeler-2938 appear to represent the same person because: same parents, birth is an estimate with no sources on both profiles

Is it possible this is a different Elizabeth Wheeler. The one that married Josiah Witter definitely died in 1672. Please check the History of Stonington for us. The merge needs to be rejected is they are different.
