Rebecca Wheeler, born 28 Feb 1785 at Stonington, Connecticut, was a daughter of Hosea Wheeler and Bridget Grant.

She married first, 14 Mar 1805, Thomas Wheeler; they had 2 children:

• Lucy Prentice (Wheeler) Wattles (1806-); married Thomas P. Wattles
• Thomas J. Wheeler, b. & d. in 1809

After the death of Thomas Wheeler, 8 Feb 1810, Rebecca (Wheeler) Wheeler married second, 1 Dec 1815 at Stonington, Connecticut, Stephen Lyman Avery. They had 3 children:
