Mary was born[1]on 14 March 1902 to William Wheeler and Elizabeth Wheeler and was registered[2][3]during the second quarter of 1902 in Crickhowell, Bercknockshire, Wales, United Kingdom.
The April 1911 census[4]shows Mary, with her father William Wheeler, a widower and Coal Miner Hewer and aunt Mary Walters, a Housekeeper, living in a four roomed property in Cwm Nant Gam, Llanelly Hill, Monmouthshire. Mary attends school.
Mary married Ernest Hitchman and was registered[5]during the first quarter of 1928 in the district of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.
Mary passed away aged eighty seven and was registered[6][1]during the first quarter of 1989 in the district of Blaenau Gwent.
