Served in resisting the invasion of New Haven, a member of Capt. James Booth's mounted company.
His will is dated 15 March 1800 and proved on 12 May 1803 in Stratford. He mentions his wife Sarah, his daughters, Mary Benjamin, wife of Brazilla Benjamin, Sarah Wheeler, Clarry Wheeler, Milly Wheeler, and his sons, Nathaniel Wheeler and Nathan Josiah Wheeler, Joseph Wheeler, Silas Wheeler, and David Wheeler.[1]
His inventory was recorded on 12 July 1803 in Stratford.[2]
In 1803, his real estate distribution was set out to the widow, Sarah, David Wheeler, Nathaniel Wheeler, Nathan Josiah Wheeler, Joseph Wheeler, and Silas Wheeler.[3]
