Biography

Mary Wheeler was born at Williamstown, Massachusetts in December 1772.


She survived her husband John Wilson Jr. and in 1850 census was living in Louisville with her son John W. Wilson, age 78.

Actually for John Willson Jr. but out of room--from Index of Deeds St. Law. Co., NY Book 9 Page 707:
"Recorded the 2nd [?] day of June 1828 at 7 oclock a.m. H.G. Hopkins Clerk
To all to Whom these presents shall come I Charles D. Raymond late Sheriff of the County of St. Lawrence in the State of New York Send Greeting Whereas by virtue of a writ of fiori [?] facias issue out of & under the seal of the Supreme Court of Common Please in & for the County of St. Lawrence listed the 27th day of January 1825 and returnable on the first Tuesday of June 1825 and

to one directed adn delivered against John Willson in favor of William Bacon & Robert Lyon for the Sum of two hundred two dollars and fourteen cents I did on the 30th day of November one thousand eight hundred & twenty five sell at public vendue [?] (having previously advertised the same agreeably to law) All the right title and interest of the aforesaid John Willson to all that certain piece of Land situate lying and being in the town of Oswegatchie County of St. Lawrence being part of the nineteen thousand acre [?] tract So called, bounded as follows, Beginning at a point in the boundary line of Oswegatchie and Lisbon fifty six chains from the road leading from Remingtons to Lisbon and Sixteen chains from the line of Isaac Gray's lot, thence northerly along the town line of Lisbon Sixteen chains to the lot taken up by Solomon Davis, thence, at right angles westerly along the line of Davis lot twenty five chains (to the point of Beginning, Cont) thence at right angles Southerly Sixteen chains, thence at right angles Easterly twenty five chains to the point of Beginning Containing forty acres of Land being the [written by DAJ: did not continue on next page]
