Biography

Phoebe Wheeler was the daughter Joseph Wheeler and Abigail Butterfield. She was born in Concord, Massachusetts, but removed to Lancaster, Massachusetts with her parents in 1742. Her marriage intention states she was from Leominster; Leominster had been set off as a separate town from Lancaster in 1740.

She married Jotham Wilder and by him had eight Children. They removed to Brattleboro, Vermont where his gravestone with a Revolutionary War marker can be seen.
