Wesson married Ann Elizabeth Daly and had two known children, both born in Rock Island County, Illinois:
Wesson Wheelock died 5 September 1857, probably in Camden Mills, Rock Island County, Illinois where he owned land.
Wesson's intestate estate was probated in Rock Island County Illinois. The case file includes documentation of his widow Ann E. Wright (now remarried to Oliver Wright), and two minor children Ebenezer Scott Wheelock and Franson P. Wheelock. His land in Camden Mills, which was then occupied by his widow and her new husband, was ordered to be sold in 1862 by the administrator of the estate, Cornelius Lynde. Among other items of interest in the estate file are a receipt for payments of money lent to Wesson by Thomas Jefferson Wheelock, and notes by George Mixter, guardian of the two sons regarding inheritance of their share of Mary Wilson's estate (probably Wesson's mother), administered by John Sargent (Wesson's brother-in-law).
According to the Scott Genealogy, Wesson removed to Ohio and had a daughter Grace. The census trail places Wesson in Rock Island, Illinois by 1850, and there doesn't seem to be an other record of a child Grace. Perhaps there was some confusion with another family.
