Charles was born about 1814 at County Wicklow, Ireland.
Charles married Margaret Reade/Ried on 14 November 1845 in Ardamine, County Wexford, Ireland.[1]
In the 1861 census, Charles (age 45) was recorded as married in Mono Township, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada.[2]
In the 1871 census, Charles (age 52) was recorded as married in Orangeville, Wellington, Ontario, Canada.[3] In 1871, and for many years later, he was a Provincial Land Surveyor and Civil Engineer. [4]
Charles was in a tax record in 1879 in Orangeville, Dufferin, Ontario, Canada.[5]
In the 1881 census, Charles (age 66), P.L.S., was recorded as married in Orangeville, Dufferin, Ontario, Canada.[6]
Charles died (age 83) in 1897 in Orangeville, Dufferin, Ontario, Canada.[7]
"With the exception perhaps of one survey prior to 1856, practically the whole town Plot of Orangeville was laid out by him".[8]
Charles died on 4 July 1897 and was buried in Orangeville, Dufferin, Ontario, Canada.[9]
