Biography

Frederic M. Wheelock was born in 1902. He was the son of Franklin M. Wheelock and Etta R. Goldthwaite.

He graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 1925. He later received M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard. He was best known as the author of Wheelock's Latin, and was a professor of Lain over a long career.

He married Dorothy Elizabeth Rathbone (1909-1990) in 1937.[1] They had two children.

He passed away in 1987.
