Because of disputed claims about her relationship with known PGM immigrant, Gabriel Whelden (abt.1583-1655), this profile is being tracked, co-managed and protected by the Puritan Great Migration Project.

Disputed Parents

A previous version of this profile had Sarah attached as a child of Gabriel Whelden (abt.1583-1655). The Yarmouth record of Sarah's birth only includes her name and the date without mentioning parents. Given Gabriel's advanced age it is more likely that she is a daughter of Gabriel's son Henry.

Biography

Sarah Wheldon was born on June 21, 1650 in Yarmouth, Plymouth Colony. Her parents are believed to be Henry Wheldon (<1619 - 1694) and Eed (______) Wheldon (~1620 - 1682).

The only known record of Sarah does not specify her parents:

1650 yarmouth Regester of ye beirthes of children
Sara Whilden born the twentyone of June[1]

I think that PPP and PGM Adjunct can be removed from this profile. This profile is for the daughter of a PGM immigrant and was PPP in 2012. The father's profile is PPP. Since PP now covers all connections, its probably not needed on this profile.
