He married Theresa Widdrington 16 January 1695/6 Saint Martin in The Fields, Westminster.[1]
William and Teresa had children including
Arabella, born 21 October, baptised 25 October 1696, Leamington Hastings.[2]
Trevor, born 15 November, baptised 25 November 1697, Leamington Hastings.[3]
Teresia [sic], born 16 December 1698, Leamington Hastings.[4]
Sophia, born 5 September, baptised 22 September 1700, Leamington Hastings.[5]
Chatherine [sic], born 6 October, baptised 12 October 1701, Leamington Hastings.[6]
Charles, baptised 30 May 1705, Leamington Hastings.[7]
Edward, baptised 4 November 1706, Leamington Hastings.[8]
Betham suggests there were four sons - Trevor, William, Charles and Edward - and five daughters - Arabella Theresa, Catherine, Eleanor and Sophia.[9]
Sir William's death was recorded in the parish register at Leamington Hastings[10]
Sir Wm Wheler Baronet Lord of the mannor of Leamington departed this life Feb ye 23 & was put into ye vault in ye chancell ye 26 aged 55: 1708
He left a will dated 5 July 1698, only mentioning his wife Teresa and children Trevor and Arabella. A codicil dated 25 June 1699 added a reference to his second daughter Teresa. The will was proved 2 April 1709.[11]
