Biography

George Washington Whipple was born 21 January 1842 in Little Valley, New York. He married Mary Stewart about 1863 in Brackney, Pennsylvania. He died 24 March 1913 in Randolph, New York.

He is also mentioned in Historical Gazetter & Memorial of Cattaragus County, edited by William Adams, published in 1893. During his service in the Civil War he was taken prisoner and held on Belle Isle, VA for six months.
