Thomas was born in 1797. He is the son of William Whitaker and Margaret Emmott. He was christened on 5 Februay 1797 at Otley, Yorkshire.[1] Thomas was the twin of William Whitaker who was christened on the same day. [2]
Thomas married Mary Clapham on 17 November 1820 at All Saints Church, Otley, Yorkshire.[3]
